[Opinions] Kermit
Yeah, I know. But I like it in theory. It has a nice sound. Would it work on a character? Or could it even be used in real life? I'd actually be happy to meet a real life Kermit. I mean how could you not like a Kermit? Opinions?

Bahahahaha. I'm sorry. XD I just think the name is *funny.* I would feel really bad for someone named Kermit. Not only is it, y'know, KERMIT, but it rhymes with "hermit." The Muppet jokes are just too abundant. Sorry!

We had a thread about it awhile ago where I realized it really does have a nice, friendly sound to it and I like it. I was never a muppet fan, so it's not terribly hard for me to remove that association. I'm not sure it's quite ready to be put back to use, but maybe the next generation the muppets will have been phased out enough it would be more usable.

It's ok, I guess, though hard not to associate with the frog. Have actually met a real life Kermit... earlier this year in fact.

This is true. I would be happy to meet one, even if I would neve use it myself.

It works for characters, especially comedic ones, but in real life, I don't recommend it. It rhymes with "hermit", which makes it easy to tease along with the Kermit the Frog association. Aside from that, I just don't find the sound of it to be appealing at all.

I don't think it could work for a character OR a real life person. Every time I hear it, I start humming "It's Not Easy Being Green."

My school librarian is named Kermit :)

Cool. Does he ever get teased?

It does have a nice sound but the frog reference is just sooo strong. Character yes but I think a real person named Kermit would just end up getting teased.
