[Opinions] Awesome! (m)
I have long loved this name, might use actually use it someday (but in the middle name spot, because there are names that I love even more). A name shouldn't be judged by its bearer(s), it's not the name's fault that it happened to have a not so honourable bearer. People are still naming their sons Joseph (despite a terrible bearer like Joseph Stalin) for example, so why shouldn't names like Nero, Adolf and even Lucifer get some love?

No one meets a Joseph and thinks "Wow, like Stalin. I bet his parents were racist communist dictators." Like it or not, people will automatically think of the emperor since there are no other famous Neros. And that little boy will have to deal with it for the rest of his life. Not to mention that I find it a pretty ugly name anyway.

That is true. How dare anyone compare Nero or Lucifer to Joseph. It's like comparing Adolf Hitler to a bank robber.
