You give a child a name that you like, that you think suits them, and that (perhaps most importantly) will not harm their professional future. Connor is a sturdy name-- don't feel bad about other peoples' personal opinions.

Don't feel bad about other people's personal opinions, but also, don't come to a board the sole purpose of which is for people to give opinions on names, and expect not to see any negative opinion about any name, and then seem to be offended when you do.
