[Opinions] Jacqueline
What's everyone's opinion on Jacqueline? I would never use the nn Jackie as I really dislike that. It has been my favourite name since I was 8.

I love Jacqueline.....I slightly prefer Joscelyn / Josceline but only slightly.Jacqueline has always reminded me of the name Veronica. They both seem like names for smart, sexy, elegant women, who have a little bit of spunk. It's one of my favorite well known girls names.I'm also not very fond of the nn Jackie. I prefer the nn Jac or Lin. Or maybe Linnie. But no nn is needed.

It's okay. But I don't love it.

For decades, I pronounced this name JACK-weh-lin. I was shocked to hear it pronounced JACK-lin or, even worse in a way, JACK-a-lin.If you would use the first pronunciation, I'm all for it.If you would use one of the others, I'm vehemently against it.

I think it's lovely if pronounced in the French way (zhak-LEEN) and very ugly if pronounced the English way (JAK-ə-lin). Jackie is horrid.

I like Jacqueline, but like you, I don't care for Jackie. Jacqueline isn't that long of a name when spoken out loud, so I think it's fine without a nickname.

I think I like it. I like the combo Jacqueline LucyI also think I like Jackie. Jacqueline seems a bit formal for a child to pull off

I disagree about it being too formal. I've met a child who was always Jacqueline. I said that I fell in love with the name when I was 8, and this was because there was a girl named Jacqueline in my grade 3 class. I like Jacqueline Lucy too!

I don't mind Jacqueline. (I pronounce it JACK-lin.)All three of the Jacqueline's go by an nickname. One is Jackie (age 29). One is Jacquie (age 43). One is Jack/Jax (age 30). Would you always use the full name or did you have a different nickname in mind.

I don't mind Jacqueline. It's not that common these days, but it's a little dated. I think Jackie is kind of cute.

Always use the full name.

I think it's pretty. I grew up pronouncing it Jackwalyn, which is the way I prefer it, but it seems a lot of people say Jackalyn which I find very unattractive.I think Jackie is a cute nn. It's really one of the only boyish nicknames I like, Bobbi being the other one.Jacy could make a nice alternative to Jackie.

I saw Jack-lyn and that's the only way that I've heard it.

I've pronounced it Jack-leen with the emphasis on the "ee"

that's Jaclyn, like Jaclyn Smithn/t:)

I really dislike that spelling! :( AND Jacquelyn.

I've heard Jacqueline pronounced JAK-lin before. The most common way I hear people pronounce it though is JAK-ə-lin.I think you should use Jacqueline pronounced JAK-lin if that is what you like. But be warned that it isn't the most common pronunciation.

I've met two in my life; one is my auntie who is in her early 70's, she is a major snob so gives the full name a bad rep in my opinion. The other however is really lovely and generous, however she always goes by Jac or Jackie. Personally I think it's a very posh and "dated" name.

I really like it. It's kind of a mouthful, but I would use the NN Jackie.
