[Opinions] Ocean
The other day in my daughter's dance class we met a little girl named Ocean. She had light brown hair and hazel eyes, very cute. What are your thoughts on Ocean??

I'd like it more if I liked the look and sound of Ocean more, but I've never felt that it was a very good word in general.

I think it's a tad out-dated. Cool in the 90s, maybe, but now? It's lost its freshness. And yet, at the same time it is over-the-top. It's trying too hard, and for me, failing abysmally.

I'm not quite convinced about it. I used to know a little girl named Ocean, but I think it was made worse because her sister was Coral... I guess in theory it might bequite cute and lovely but I'm not sure about it in practise.

That is too irksome for words.

The child deserves a human name.

Same as my thoughts on Rain: cheesy. Do not like.

I don't really care much for it. I think it sounds better on a boy if anything.

It's cute and cool. I think I prefer Oceane because it's more "namey" and more definitely feminine (Ocean has boyish undertones to me even on a girl) but I do like it.

I love it on both genders. I don't think I would ever use it personally, but I love to hear it is being used. Oceane is gorgeous too, but unfortunately I don't think it would work in the States :(

I love it! Very beautiful.

I prefer it on a boy. But it's nice on both. For a girl Oceana and Oceane might be preferable. Oceanus is cool too. Really nice.

Oceanus looks like "cosy anus" to me...

It looks like 'ocean' + 'us' to me.

You weren't, it's fine :)

I think it makes a silly name. I would much rather see marina or just about any other ocean-related name used.

I can't decide if I like it or not. It has pretty imagery and even a nice sound but just not sure about it myself. Her mom was fairly conservative looking.
