[Opinions] Selena or Aubrey?
My boyfriend and I are expecting our 1st child in August. We have already decided on the name if it is a boy... Jadon Ray (Ray is a family name). The middle name for the girl will be Nicole (also a family name). But we can't decide on Aubrey or Selena for the first name. I am kinda leaning toward Selena... but I really like Aubrey too. My boyfriend loves the name Selena. So what do you think?Selena
OR
AubreyThanks for your help.Expecting my first child August 9, 2006!

SelenaI love Selena, it sounds so soft and feminine. Aubrey is harsher and also one of those "boy's names turned into girl's names". I prefer Audrey to Aubrey but I still love Selena best."But it’s all right now.

Aubrey...I personally like Aubrey better, but Selena is also very pretty. Also I think Aubrey Nicole sounds better than Selena Nicole does.

Selena Nicole is beautiful - and it gets my vote. Nicole has a light feel to it and Selena perfectly compliments this trait. As far as Aubrey is concerned, Audrey would be better, but still not as nice as Selena."We can even learn from our enemies." -OvidMitakuye Oyasin

Definitely Selena. Aubrey sounds very masculine to me, whilst Selena is light and pretty.

To me, Aubrey is a boy's name (it's been around ages, but only just started to be used for girls). So I'd go for Selena. Or else Audrey, which I love!

Of those two, Aubrey wins by a long shot. I find Selena to be very unappealing, but what about Audrey? Aubrey is a traditional male name & it also can be shortened to the overly popular Bree, whereas Audrey is classic, feminine, and very similar.

Aubrey is a boy's name to me. Audrey would make a terrific girl's name. While I'm at it, Aubrey Ray would make a terrific name for a son. Selena is a very beautiful girl's name. Selena Nicole or Audrey Nicole (f) and Aubrey Ray (m) get my vote._________________________________________________________________Another thought, how about Nicola for a fn? (NIC-uh-la)

Congrats. My BIL is named Aubrey, so I consider it a boys name. Salena is nice, but reminds me of the spanish singer. My mn is Nicole, too. I don't like Jadon at all, sorry.Good luck!Amber Nicole

Selena Nicole is really nice, pretty, but a bit on the trendy side. I personaly like Aubrey Nicole better because Aubrey just seems softer and more feminine to me. But both are really nice! :)

I personally prefer Selena, simply because I only know one Aubrey, and he's a man, so I've always kind of thought of it as a male name. Also, Aubrey reminds me custard, for some strange reason. So yes, I, myself, would definately go for Selena! Plus, I prefer Selena Nicole to Aubrey Nicole.Congratulations, by the way! :-) I *love* the name Ray, and Jadon is quite nice too.
