I really like it, but it isn't a name I would use. I'd still be excited to see it on others though.

I don't like it. It reminds me of the word "ingrate" and sounds too harsh for my tastes.

I like it.....for someone else. It is almost harsh but not quite. It is not quite soft either; it has a bit of grit.

Love it. I love how down to earth it is, and unfussy. Also, the association with Ingrid Bergman is a big plus. Feminine "I" names have a special appeal for me. I had a good friend in school named Ingrid Maya. The combination impressed me so much. It was the first time I remember thinking that "filler" mns didn't have to be included. I used "Ingrid Maia" as my screen name on another site. Ingrid Matilda is another favorite combo for her. :-)

I like it a lot, always have. I don't understand why it's not used more.

I like it. I don't really know why, I just do. My only problem with it is that I don't know how well it would go over where I live. I think a lot of people would think it sounds ugly and old-ladyish. It wish I could say that it would work better as a middle name, but for some reason it loses all its appeal for me in the middle name spot. As a middle name, it does sound harsh, ugly, and old-ladyish. As a first name, it's somehow spunky, cool, and quite pretty. Weird.

Ingrid is one of my all time favorites. Definitely my #2 name. My combo is Ingrid Sophia.

Lacking in personality; inoffensive; if it shortens to Ingie, then yuckyuckyuck.

Don't like it.
I think it sounds harsh, too old lady and I've had plenty of teachers with this name. I think Astrid is way better.

I probably wouldn't use Ingrid, but I like it a lot.

I used to think it was exclusively Scandinavian and wouldn't really work in America where I live, but there is a youtuber named Ingrid and it's slowly becoming more usable to me.
