[Opinions] Xanthe
What are your thoughts on Xanthe? How would you pronounce it? Any combo ideas?I believe the usual English pronunciation is ZAN-thee, but ksan-THEE (with the ks in kicks) is more authentically Greek.

I like it, but I'd prefer it paired with a Greek last name.

I'd say KSAHN-tə if I ever encountered it. I don't like an X pronounced as a Z usually. Xanthe Kerensa
Xanthe Damaris
Xanthe Briseis
Xanthe Victoria
Xanthe Verona

I find the name a bit funny to me when pronounced in English.

I pronounce it ZAN-thee. I think it's okay. If I had to grade it, I'd give it a B-.

I say XAN-thee and I really like it, but feel it would only suit a blonde girl, in view of its meaning.
I also like the look of Ianthe, but I'm not sure how it's pronounced.
