I don't like either one for either gender.

Celtic gets a thumbs down from me. I'm not all for descriptive names (with some exceptions), and this is akin to calling someone French, Spanish, Amish, Caucasian, etc., IMO.

I'm not a big fan of Canyon, either, especially for a girl. Canyons are huge, gaping valleys. A girl ought to, uh, not be.

I would only do the name Celtic if you are Irish. If you aren't, people are just going to think of basketball. Plus, what happens if the kid is remarkably uncoordinated? THEN we have a problem!

I'm not sure for Canyon. Do you think a nature-related name be too much for a mn? I think Prairie Canyon is a kind of pretty girl name.
