This was the first name I ever loved and it got me into the whole name nerd thing. :')

I love Cybele! It's got pagan street cred and is fun to say out loud, if I've got it right. "SIB-uh-lee," right? I also saw somewhere that in French it's, "see-BEL," which makes it sound like "si belle / so beautiful." Such a fun name and a great choice to start your name nerd career with.

Cool that you know exactly which name prompted it all! That's really neat.

Cybele is not a name I have ever heard of before. It think it looks like 'cyber' and sounds like 'simile'. Both of those are pretty benign reactions though. I can't say it really appeals to me in look or sound. And the meaning doesn't grab me either. Sorry.

The sound is nice, but Cybele looks really clunky and weird. I prefer Sybil

I adore Cybele! It succeeds seamlessly at fusing gentility and strength, which is a dynamic that I seek in names and in life.

I love Cybele - it's gorgeous! However, I do slightly prefer the similar sounding Sibyl.
