Prefer Greta to Meta, but I actually like both. Greta seems a little more cutesy than Meta, but Meta is definitely a strong sound and look. It would depend on which you prefer.
I love both best as nicknames to Margaret though.
(I have a little niece Greta, so I might be a bit biased)
