[Opinions] Kaia

I like Kaya; the 'i' is almost too pretty to me.
I remember someone asked this question a long time ago, about what the difference in impression was. Someone said Kaya looked more "natural," and I've always leaned toward that spelling for that reason.
I taught a girl named Kaia and, though it's a unique and pretty name, it didn't fit her. One thing I've learned about short, pretty, simple names is that, for me, they wear out quickly; the sparkle dulls after repeating it a few million times a day. (Which is unfortunate because, prior to teaching, those were my favorite kinds of names.)

I find it mildly amusing. Where I live, in many local languages Kaia means "house" or, more particularly, either shack or (worse!) outhouse as in, small brick building separate from the main building which houses a fly-infested toilet and is typically dark and smelly. This used to be abbreviated to PK (for picanini kaia = tiny toilet) and applied to any bathroom etc, but I think this no longer happens.
I suppose Kaya would sound different: Kay rhyming with day, play etc whereas Kaia = KIEa.

I like Kaia! It's not on my name list or anything (I might think about adding it) but I think it's snappy and sweet and it gives me a Scandicool vibe. Kaya is more trendy American/British to me.
I pronounce them differently. Kaya is KAY-a, Kaia is KYE-a.
I like Kaia, it has a trendy sound but I think it's pretty. It looks neater than Kaya.
