[Opinions] Malachy
This is a recent favourite of mine.I love the pronunciation MAL-a-kee, over the Hebrew MAL-a-kie, although I am of Jewish origin. However, I prefer the Jewish meaning of "my angel", rather than the Irish "devotee"What do you think of Malachy?

I like Malachy and I too prefer it over Malachi. I like both meanings though. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I MUCH prefer that pronounciation as well. It's a very nice name. I wish I could get MAL-ah-kee from the spelling Malachi, because I don't like the Y spelling. Oh, well.

I love Malachi (with Kye prn), but Malachy looks like it ought to be Mal-a-chee, like the the CH is church or something. I don't like it.

I prefer the spelling Malachi, and the Hebrew MAL-a-kye pronunciation, though both meanings suit me fine. I heard recently of a little boy named Maloky, which I thought was atrocious. (Several people here and IRL commented, "Malarky!" LOL) I like this name, I think it has a lot of character, but I would not use it for my own son.~Lillian~
