[Opinions] Lara or Tonya?
Yes, I watched Dr. Zhivago :P Let's put aside the fact that Lara was probably Larissa and Tonya Tatiana as these names are not used in Russia on their own as far as I know.Anyway:Lara or Tonya and why?

Lara! It has a less dated feel. It's also softer sounding and I like the subtle symmetry.

Lara, because I'm a fan of Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider games.I think Tonya is actually short for Antonina, not Tatiana. Tanya is short for Tatiana.

Either neither or Tonia. Which would in any case be short for Antonia in my life!

Like was said Tonya is a 70s-80s name (and Tania is better) so Lara is wins.

Lara, by miles! It's actually in my Top 10 now. I love it.Tonya - particularly this spelling - is very 70s/80s dated, and brings to mind Tonya Harding.

Lara. Tonya sounds dated to me as a full name.

Lara! It’s a lovely name. Tonya sounds like an 80s receptionist with four-inch fingernails, a bubblegum addiction, and a bad attitude.
