What do you think of the name Tamsin? I've liked it for a while but am not crazy about the meaning. Can you suggest any similar names?

I like Tamsin. These names are kind of similar:
Tanith, Talitha, Tamara, Tamar, Tamora

(Talitha probably has the worst meaning of those, but it isn't horrible)

I like it a lot. It’s a lovely classic, but at the same time it fits in very well with the more trendy names out there It has a bit of a boy’s name or surname vibe because it’s two syllables with an -n ending, but it’s got a lot more substance.

Tanith/ Tanis has a colorful history. I used to dislike the snake goddess association, but the name has grown on me.

Arwen does have a similar feel. While I do admire Tolkien's work, I probably wouldn't use a name with only one association. Thanks!

I really like Tessa, Tatiana, and Tara.

I knew a Taryn in school. She was a lovely person, but the name isn't my style.

I like it Tamsin (as well as the variant Thomasina and the similar sounding Tasnim) lot, it sounds unconventional and very English. The full form is much better than nicknames such as Tammy. Names I think have a similar "feel" are:

Astra
Briony
Bryony
India
Lyra

Other names beginning with t I like are Theodora, Theodosia and Theophania.

I love the meaning of Tasnim "a spring in paradise," but I don't have enough of a connection with Arabic culture to really consider using it.

Briony/ Bryony is cute and does have a similar feel.

Tamsin has a short I sound. Tasnim is tas-NEEM. They look alike but don't sound alike.
