Both are fantastic names, but I think I'd ultimately go with Anne, partly because I have a family connection to that name.I disagree with the commenters who think these names are better suited to middle-name slots. As middle names they are boring and uninspired. As first names, they are simple, stately and elegant.

Anne. The "e" at the end of Faye seems tacked on, but it makes Anne seem fuller.

Definitely Faye. Not my preferred spelling, but I like the magical, whimsical feel.

AnneYeah it's more forgettable, but any spelling of Faye is just ... so fairyish, it's the opposite.

Anne. Faye looks odd with the extra e and there is not much to it.

Faye. It sounds longer than Anne. Anne is squarely in middle name territory.

Anne times 100. Faye is pretty but it's insubstantial. Anne is loaded with history, it's simple, timeless and gorgeous.

Anne, it just seems more wearable.

I guess Anne, though both of them are better suited to middle name slots. Anne doesn't sound quite so old.

Anne, by a country mile. Faye looks silly with that -e stuck on, though Fae would be sillier, and the meaning of 'fay' is pretty improbable for a human being.I must of course declare an interest in Anne ...

Both are simple and elegant, and I've often thought that Anne, or "Annie," would be a name I'd be able to answer to if I ever needed Witness Protection or something. But I think Faye is prettier.
