[Opinions] Avalon
I love it, but WDYT? What combos and nicknames? Pros? Cons?Be who you are, and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind -Bernard M. Baruch

Love, love, love this name so much!!! It's beautiful, and would definitely use it on my child. There's a beautiful island in California called Avalon. I had a post of Avalon in the past.

Ny favorite nicknames are Avie and Ava.
My combos are
Avalon Charlotte
Avalon Zoe
Avalon Rebecca/ Avalon Rebekah
Avalon Blair
Avalon Eve
Avalon Birdie
Avalon Hazel
Avalon Eden
Avalon Raine
My only downside is that the name does come from Arthurian literature. Avalon is where King Arthur was buried. People would assume if you are a fan of myths and legends.
Also, if you decide to have more children, you might want to find other names that go with Avalon, because Sarah, Jacob, and Avalon might not mix.
Then, there's a possiblity Avalon might be dated... picture a 45 year old Avalon, it would be cool, imo. But others might not take it seriously.
But there are senior citizens named Melody, Ryder, Carson...
My other alternatives are Aveline.

It has a nice sound, but it’s honestly like naming a child Arcadia or Camelot.

I love Avalon. I don't care that it is a bit trendy -not of itself but very trendy sounds (Ava, Evelyn) and a place name. I'd use it. Avalon Sophia
Avalon Beatrix
Avalon Diana

I like it as a guilty pleasure. I personally wouldn’t use it because it’s the name of a medical center my grandma used to go to.
