[Opinions] John
I never cared for this name, I love the meaning and story. I don't like nn, Johnny. I much prefer Zane, Evan, Jonathan. But, I do like the double names.
John-Lucas
John Shepherd
John Everett
John Sawyer

This is the name of my ex, the father of my children. I absolutely love this name, and think now would be a great time to use it because right now it is rare for a child. He would not be one of many in his class at school. I gave the name John to one of my boys as his mn, for obvious reasons.

This is my baby cousin's name, but I still find it horribly boring. Like, it's not a bad name, but it's so plain and predictable.

Sexy and timeless. I like both Johnnie and Johnny spellings. I like Sawyer and Everett as mns.

Honestly, it's so boring that I find it weirdly exciting. In a world where kids are named Harper, Bear, North, Pilot or Danger John just seems so calm, humble and normal that it's oddly refreshing. Same with Mary and Jane. We need more of these names :)John Everett is nice.

I like John and I love Jack. I don't care for Jonathan. Evan is appealing sound wise, but it feels kind of flimsy and dated to me. Is Zane related to John in any way? I don't hate it, but I don't like it much. The John double names are fine, but to me they feel a little pretentious. At best, I'll say they're way too preppy for me.

I got it from a inaccurate source. It claimed Zane came from John. Apparently, it's not.

I like John, but it is boring. Even so, I prefer it to Zane (YUCK) and Jonathan (whiny). Evan is okay and less boring. Thing is, although I consider John just as boring as Mary, I've known far fewer men named John (although one I have known is my brother) than women named Mary. Maybe that's why I don't hate John the way I do Mary. John is still a nice, handsome name, though. There are many worse.

I like it a lot! I wouldn't use it, but I enjoy the sound and rich history. Jan and Johannes are also nice.

I love it. A strong, handsome classic.

YawnSure, it’s a handsome classic, but I also find it dull and anonymous.
