Loki is completely masculine to me due to the mythology. Larkin is unisex to me. I would choose Larkin, it's more usable in everyday life and it has a fun/positive vibe to it.

Larkin, hands down. Loki just seems unusable to me.

Larkin seems infinitely more wearable, and I know of a cat Loki (it sounds cool, but seems like a fairly stereotypical pet name to me).
I also just have no real feelings about the deity, so I wouldn't use Loki for that reason, but might think it was an interesting name to call someone.

Loki has too many negative connotations and associations to be trying to saddle a real, live human being with it (popularity of the Marvel character not withstanding).

I think I'd have to go Larkin because it would be easier to deal with on any gender. However, I do love Loki more (just I can't quite push it for a girl), and I'm somewhat encouraged by it being in the top 500 over here.

I don’t really care for Larkin but, assuming we’re talking about naming a human - if you’re not Scandinavian, don’t name your kid Loki. Heck, it’s barely even used as a given name here in Denmark. Also, the name Loki/Loke is male. Not female or unisex.

I don’t mean to offend anyone but it weirds me out when non-scandinavians are naming kids after Norse mythology characters because they believe themselves connected to them because they watched some Marvel movies or watched Vikings. It makes more sense in a Scandi context because it’s our cultural heritage.
