I don't really love either, but Camille is much more straightforward. One way to say it in English, and most people will be able to spell it intuitively, whereas Alia has at least 5 spellings and 2 or 3 pronunciations.

Edit: Just realized Alia’s a whole different name than Aaliyah! Sorry, I’ve seen people name children Alia pronounced Aaliyah before so I thought it was just a modern spelling.

I prefer Camille. But, Alia Camille is a really beautiful name combination.

If Aliyah (a-LEE-ah) was an option, that would be my pick. But from those two choices, I’d choose Camille.

Camille by far. Even if a lot of thought and meaning is put into naming your kid Alia, it still ends up being one of those names that sounds like it was chosen on a whim just for the trendy sound.
