[Opinions] Plumtree & Dagmar
Hi. I have two things. First off, what do you think of the name Dagmar? I'm just curious; it's a new favourite of mine. I also like Dagny.Secondly, I know that this board is almost always about opinions on first names, but I've recently come across a surname that I'm head-over-heels about! Plumtree.I read an article online about ADHD (forget where) and a person mentioned had the surname Plumtree. I just think it's so pretty and I love saying it! LOL. I was thinking it could maybe work as a mn, too, but it's not something I would use. The first combo that popped into my head was Stella Plumtree.Anyway, WDYT? Are there any surnames that you have a strange fondness for?(I also love Seabright, Honeysett, Lovejoy, and Quirke.)~ asadria

I like Dagny a lot.As for Plumtree... did you ever play the game where you took your middle name and the name of your street and that was your famous name? Well one of my friend's famous name was Marie Plumtree. So I had thought of that before...I love surnames... Hartley, Willoughby, Brennan, Davies... I dunno some just stick out nicely

I prefer Dagny to Dagmar, personally. Dagmar has always sounded quite masculine to me--perhaps because of its similarity to Delmar. Plumtree makes a lovely surname, and it'd be a nice middle name, too.As far as surnames I love, they include Livingston and Quigley. :)Array

She had fallen against the windows, which were pressed against the windows, which were pressed against the old oak near across the age of the old Aunt Sophronia--was almost dreadful enough to walk on. A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

Plumtree is kinda cute, NN Plum! I love Evergreen as a name so why not?Noah, 4 - "Dad, I love a fun guy!"
Dan - "Oh really? Pumpkin, I'm so glad you think i'm a fun guy!"
Noah, 4 - "No! Dad! I like fungi! you know mushrooms!".

I think Dagmar is very pretty, I have a strange attraction to Scandinavian names like this (Ingeborg, Elsa, Gudrun, Helga, Hilda, ect.) and though I don't think I'll ever use it for one of my children I would deffinately use it for a pet or in a story, and delight to see it used by someone else! :)I do fancy interesting surnames like this, I wouldn't use them as a middle name really unless it was a family name but I do think Stella Plemtree would make a lovely name for a story character. I can see her now, she's be rather quarky and very British! :)I can't really think of any of my favorite surnames right now, Shippee and Tarbox are family surnames that are very British and intersting.
