[Opinions] Nora and Norah
Wdyt? I like them both, especially Nora and thought it would be more popular now. Are they good as short forms and for what names? Do you know any?

I like the Norah spelling especially for a full name. It just looks more complete. Nora is cute as a nickname for Eleanora or Eleanor. I’ve known people who spell it each way.

Eleonora, Eleanor, Elinor, Alienor.I ‘ve met a few, all teens and younger.

I quite like Norah with an h, which just serves to make it look a bit less like Dora! I wouldn't use it, though: if I used any similar name, it would be Laura without hesitation. The obvious long form is Eleanor, or Elinor. I also quite like Annora.I don't think I've ever met a Nora or a Norah.

Hi !!!I love Nora as variant of Nour.
It works in Italian as well even if I dislike Eleonora.

I like Norah as a full name - it just looks more complete to me. Nora could be a shortened form of Eleonora

Nora and Norah both feel incredibly dry and dowdy to me, and it honestly baffles me that they are fashionable again. Even Cora, which is likewise still incredibly old, I at least a little bit understand because it has a sophisticated energy to it, but Nora just feels like a 70 year old farmer's wife to me. Not that 70 year old farmer's wives don't have value as human beings but it just feels so dowdy, dated and frompy. Even Dora is better imo and Dora still has a few obvious reasons why it shouldn't be back yet. Eleanora or Maura are perhaps the most similar names that still feel recyclable again.

I like them as full names and nicknames. I prefer Nora. I don't think I like many names ending with an unnecessary H. The exceptions are probably Noah and Hannah. It differentiates them from variants that are pronounced differently or used differently somewhere else.
Nora can be short of Leonora, Lenora, Elenora, Noralyn, Noraline or Noralee.
