[Opinions] Dylan
This is such a common name for my generation. I have met countless people named Dylan. Besides that, I think it's a cool name. I think it's pretty chill sounding. I have positive associations with the Dylan spelling, and negative with Dillon. How about you, would you use this name?"You're a firework. Dylan is super popular among my age group where I live, too. It's rivaled only by David, Chris, Sophia, Mackenzie, and Grace. It's a nice name, but the fact that I know so many people with the name makes me hesitant to use it. (Ironically, I like the name Christopher, which will inevitably be shortened to Chris, and that's also really popular in my age group yet hasn't put me off the name...) Oh, and I don't like the spelling Dillon. Or any spelling of it on a girl. Very unfeminine to me.

All the Dylans I've known have been rascals!

Its one of my favorite names for boys! I even like it for girls. It sounds like Lillan. But its too popular; I wouldn't use it. I knew two Dylans in school and that was confusing.Dilon, Dillon, Dylen ETC. are okay. But Dylan looks the most pleasing to me.If I used the name at all, it would be for a female character, or for a real son but only as a middle name. That way he has more options and doesn't have to be one of the many Dylans if he wishes to be called by his first name instead.

I have always liked the name Dylan. Even if it is immensely common for my generation and I met like 5 of them in my life. One of them even bullied me, lol. Anyways, I think Dylan is a nice, mythological and oceanic name. I never especially liked it on a girl though. I would prefer something like Maris, or Coral.

Don't really like it, but prefer this spelling

I like Dylan, and I think I would have, even if it weren't for Thomas and Bob. Dillon doesn't look authentic, but for sheer horror, try this: an extremely pleasant man, here in South Africa, is named Delon. And pronounces it duhLON. I can't help thinking that he deserves better.

Oh, yikes...Delon reminds me of Felon. I kind of feel bad for the guy.
