I like Carla. More than Charlotte. Carla wins unanimously.

I prefer Carla, Carly is too nicknamey for my tastes. Both are nice though.

Dear friend called Carla so like it by association. Carly seems kind of sad to me, probably also because of association.

I like them both, but Carla is a bit too plain and middle-aged for me to want to use. Carly is youthful and stylish and I actually would use it. I'd probably prefer Carlee or Karlee.
