I've liked it for years. For some reason I thought the meaning was more like wise than self-controlled, but looking it up again apparently I'm wrong. They're both good meanings (though I am partial to names meaning wisdom) and it has such a lovely refined sound.

I much prefer Sophronia to Sophia, although I do also like Sophronia nn Sophie or Sophronia nn Sonia
