I just love Jacob! My sons mn is Jakob with a k (we are german).

Mostly pronounced YAHkob where I live; widely used by traditional Afrikaans families, as are Jakobus and Kobus (yuhKOOerbis and KOOerbus). I don't think I've ever met an English-speaking Jacob.
