I found in a Scottish newspaper a story about a family with Disney names. Dad's name didn't appear but mum is called Morag.
Disney Sarah "Dizzy"
Chip Ian Gary (named after the cup in Beauty and the Beast)
Sulley Leo (Monster's Inc)

These are the most unattractive name combinations I think I have heard in a while. Absolutely nothing flows. I think it’s also rather cruel to give your daughter a nickname like Dizzy. To each their own.
My brother in law gave his two boys Disney names. However, his first is named Arlo, which is admittedly less well-known and cartoony. My sister in law is a “Disney adult”. She’s wanting to name one child Mickey. I thought that was bad until I read these names.

I feel like I'm seeing more of these types of names. Names that are blunt instruments or billboards. There are so many interesting and beautiful names used by Disney films but they pick these. Disney? Just literally DISNEY. It seems almost disrespectful of this thing they claim to love so much. It's like someone who considers themselves a film buff calling their kid "Movie". Ok, we get it, you love movie. You love Disney. Great.
I usually love ugly names but "Chip Ian Gary" might be the most ungraceful thing I've seen in a while. It's like the name equivalent of falling down the stairs. Reading it makes me think of those comic book sound effects. Wham Pow Biff! Chip Ian Gary!
Sullivan Leo would have been so nice. Why not Sullivan!? Because they gotta make sure people KNOW it's Sulley like Sulley from the DISNEY MOVIE. Of course. I need to lie down.

Are you really saying that someone named their child after a cartoon cup? Presumably one with a minor spot of damage? Ian is a top favourite of mine, and a family member named Gary makes me at least tolerate it (I'd have used Gareth); but Chip!
I met a Chip once: he was a civil rights lawyer from California and also a Charles IV: his great-grandfather was Charles, his grandfather was known as Charlie, his father was known as Chuck, and that left him to be known as Chip. At the time when I knew him, he wasn't married so I don't know what he might have chosen for a possible son.
