[Opinions] Lucille?
WDYT of this name? Too old-fashioned or timeless classic? Good, bad, or ugly? Does it go with Amelia and Caroline? Does it stand well on its own?

I personally really like my name; I've met only one other Lucille in my life, so a child with that name would really be ensured of an unique and uncommon name. At least in my country. :)

It's not outdated, but it's got an old-fashioned vibe to it, too. A lot of Americans will probably still associated it to Lucille Ball, but I'm sure that association will eventually fade, as the show is already so old. I think it's a very beautiful name, and a nice alternative to plain Lucy (which, though, is also a great name IMO). I think it macthes the sib names Amelica and Caroline *perfectly*.

I love Lucy, But I can't really stand Lucille.
I think it's a timeless classic more than an oldfashioned name.
I don't think it's ugly or bad, I just don't like it myself.

Lucille is really nice.I think of Lucille Ball, who is the quintessential funnywoman for me; she was queen of her game. And with Luci as a possible nickname, it can't possibly sound too old today. :)I much prefer Lucille to either Amelia or Caroline, so I'm fine with how the three of them sound. I like the fact that they all include L sounds--it's a subtle way of tying them together.Array (also loves Lucinda, Lucetta, Lucette, Lucienne, Lucia [loo-CHEE-ah only, please], Lucen, etc.)

It's fine.
Too old-fashioned.
Good. Ugly.
Not so much with Caroline, but it's fine with Amelia.
Yes.

I prefer just Lucy, but I think Lucille goes well with Caroline but not Amelia. :)Mum to Hayley Anne
