[Opinions] Edwin & Cecily
On another name website there is a thread on names people have spotted and someone mentioned a sib set Edwin & Cecily. I love both these names. Both equally dated and yet they fit perfectly with the 100 year name recycle.WDYT of Edwin and Cecily?

Edwin is super handsome, I like it a lot. As a teenager I didn’t like it and I remember there was a boy in my year level at school named Edwin. It’s in my maternal grandmother’s family tree. Cecily on the other hand does nothing for me. I dislike the sound intensely!

Very charming! I quite like both names. (I adore Edwina!)

Edwin - It's so nice and cool name. Cecily - It's very pretty but sounds similar to Sicily and I prefer Cecilia that sounds very beautiful and lovely in my opinion.

I enjoy Edwin - far more than Edward, despite the latter being far more common - but would likely only use it as a middle name.Cecily is an old childhood favorite. Sometimes I go back to adoring it, but mostly I think it's too soft now.

My Dad was one of the last of the Cecils, for family reasons. I'd happily use Cecily, and I'd have been happy to be Cecily myself, though I can see that having a Cecil and a Cecily in the same house could lead to confusion.Edwin is difficult. Pretty nice as names go, but I'd rather use Edward for family reasons; either way it'd be mn only. I knew an Edwin at school who didn't actually put me off the name but didn't warm me up to it either.

I love Edwin. It should and probably will come back. Cecily is cute too.

Cecily isn't my cup of tea, but I do think it goes nicely with Edwin. I like Edwin. It's uncommon yet still familiar. I like the way it sounds. 🙂
