Help[Opinions] Can I use this name?
Hello everyone!
I am writing a story and I decided to name the female protagonist JeanBenoît. Does it make you think of JonBenet Ramsey (not how I thought about it)? Just in case it could affect your opinion in any way I would like to mention the storyline is something like Stephen King's The Body (Stand By Me movie) or the 1995 movie Now And Then. So the character is kinda like Gordie Lachance or Samantha Albertson of my story.

It is pretty similar, especially since Jean Benoit with the accent mark looks like a French man's name so Jean would actually be closer to the Jon pronunciation. And since there's a dead body ...
Janine Benoit or Janice Benoit or Gina Benoit would eliminate the issue.

It definitely looks like you're trying to make people think of JonBenet.
JeanBenoit is an extremely unusual name choice for any character, never mind a female one. If you don't want people to think of JonBenet, I'd pick another name.
