Bleh. 1. It's a location. I don't like places used as names!
2. The whole changing 'e' or 'i' or whatever other vowel to a 'y' really irritates me. Everyone is doing it and it looks like you can't spell. With a Y, I start to pronounce it like Cam-dine.
3. With a K, the misspelling is even worse. As with the 'y' frenzy, everyone seems to be obsessed with using Ks in place of Cs. And again, it looks like you can't spell.
4. I just don't like the sound of it or my association with it. I know a girl named Camden (goes by Cami, pronounce Cammy, not kay-mee) and she is the biggest snit.

Camden, NYis the first thing that comes to mind for me. http://www.camdenny.com/ It's the "Queen Village of Oneida County" but I still think that if it's used for a person, it should be used for a male person...but only under duress! :o) It's definitely low (high?) on my personal list of "will never use" names.Check Out Blinkyou.com for thousands of custom glitters and layouts

Neither really, but if I had to choose then it would be Camden and for a boy only.

CamdenI love the name Camden on a boy. I also like it on a girl with the nn Cami- too cute! But I much prefer Cambria or Cambree for a girl. However, the spellings Camdyn, Kamden and Kamdyn seem trendy and completly unecessary. Whats wrong with just Camden?

I used to love Kamdyn for a girl, but I'm not so sure anymore. Camden definitely seems more masculine.

Camden in London has quite a cool atmosphere, kind of alternative music and hippy markets. It is also well known of drug dealing problems, particularly cannabis. These associations would stop me from naming a child of either gender Camden. Camdyn, Kamdyn and Kamden are even worse.

Camden......for a boy only. Please, please, please don't consider any of the other spellings. It's a very nice name, but the tryndee spellings really take away from it.Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
