In your opinion, is Cecilia (nn Celia) or Cecily prettier, and why?

That's a tough one...I like both Cecilia & Cecily, although I'm not fond of the NN Celia. So, I guess, if I had to choose between the two, including the NN, I'd have to go with Cecily. Other than that, though, I don't know which to choose. They're both so classy & feminine imo, and they sound lovely :)

I like both of them but really like the sound of Cecily. It just sounds so...sophisticated and pretty! I love the name Celia by itself too!~~Kelsey~~

Cecilia.
Cecily reminds my of Sicily (sp?) and I just don't like it. I love Cecilia though.Kristen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I LOVE both. I slightly prefer Cecily, though, I guess because it's just a little more unusual (in a good way) and very British to my ear. :)

I'm partial to Cecily because a very prominent (and really cool) ancestress of mine carried the name, but Cecilia and Celia are pretty as well.

I adore the name Cecily. It is energetic and youthful. With the popularity of Emily, I've always been surprised that Cecily didn't catch on more. I love Celia, but that extra syllable in Cecilia just makes the name seem too long.

Cecilia is better IMO. I really prefer Cecile or just Celia though.
