I really, really dislike the male name Alan, but I find I love the name Alana. That is my favorite way to spell it, also - I'm not too enamored of Alannah or any of the other variations, although they are nice enough, I prefer just Alana.

Do you like the name? Any combo ideas? Also, what would be some good names to match it in a sibset? I know a beautiful girl named Alana whose little brother is Liam and I think that's cute.

I like it. I wouldn't use it because my father has negative associations with the name "Alan", and it's really too similar. I can't remember of it was Alana or Alanna and I'm too lazy to check, but this is the herione of a Tamora Peirce series that I loved in middle school.

I like Liam, too. =D

hm...middle names.

I don't like Alan as a first name either, but I have come to like it as a middle name but only spelled Allen because it's a family name.

I too think Alana is a beautiful name, I pronouce it uh-lon-uh. I know a little girl named Alana who's brothers are named Noah & Sebastian and I think that's a really cute sibset.

Alana is cute but NSMAA bc all I think of is that singer.

Alana Jayne is cute and so is Alana Kai.

I think that Alana has a little sister named Payton and a big brother called Maverick.

I love Alana too. For mn's how about Kelsey, Bryony, Jacqueline, Jade, or Brielle. It might go nice with some of these names in a sibset,too!

Alana Brielle's really pretty! I also love Alana Jacqueline and Alana Jade.
