[Opinions] WDYTO Isabella ...

Isabella is a little too over the top for me. I much, much prefer plain, ole Isabel. Or better still - Isobel.

Isabella is one of my all time favorites (my dog's mn) and I hate that it has become so overly popular in the U.S. I say if it is not as popular where you are go for it!

I use to love this name when I was about 13 (I'm 18), but I got tired of it, and now it's waaaaay too popular for me.

I think it's nice, and needs a nickname since it's four syllables.
I'd want to avoid Izzy, and that leaves Bella and maybe Sable.I think I like Isabel better, since it's less frilly but has the same 'feel'. - chazda

I don't know WHY but I can only picture it on a Spanish or Italian girl.

I love it! I would use Isabella on a future daughter of mine but, as you said, wher I live it is a little too popular for my tastes.

I like it very much. I also like the old-fashioned French Isabeau, but it's too out-there for most people.
