[Opinions] Arwen
I know it's from Lord of the Rings, but I kinda like it. What do you think? Would it be ok to use as a real name, or not? Also, I was thinking of putting it with Evangeline.Maybe
Evangeline Arwen, or Arwen Evangeline

It's a beautiful name, imo, but I don't think I could ever hear it without thinking of LotR. Perhaps in a generation or two, when people are still reading the books, but not watching the movies as much, children may be named that. But for now, I think it's just too . . . not really common, but yeah. If you know what I mean.

Whats wrong with uncommon names?

It's okay. LOTR kinda ruined it, but it is a pretty name without the connotation. Definitely not with Evangeline, way too much name for one kid. Maybe Eve or Angel.

My cousin's nameAnd the LOTR connotations wear of at some point. I like Arwen Evangeline. Arwen is very usable imo. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I love it! But I also love the Lord of the Rings. Would you think it a problem when people think of LotR when they hear the name? 'Cause the story is wonderful and the character Arwen aswell, nothing to be ashamed of I guess.. ? It is also just a very pretty name. Oh and I really like Evangeline, but I'd use it as a middle name: Arwen Evangeline. Definitely works for me!*+ ..Marleen.. +*

I don't see why not? I like the name Anakin, and I would use that. It's from Star Wars but oh well. If you like it go for it.ETA: however I like it spelled Arwin, and for a boy. :o)
