[Opinions] Rowan
What do you think of Rowan for a boy? I'm using it for a character in a story I'm writing and it's really grown on me. I'm not so keen on it for a girl but adore it on a boy for some reason. Is it too feminine maybe?

*Love* it. I know a girl Rowan. But I consider it masculine.

I like it very much for a boy, and I don't think it's been taken over by the girls. But oddly enough, it's sort of a GP name for me on a girl. I think because I see it as a nature (tree) name, so it can go either way but I still more prefer it for a boy. :)

I love Rowan on both boys & girls, it strikes a very sophisticated balance IMHO.

I like the name Rowan for a boy (it's one of my favorites), and I don't see it as being too feminine. This name is not my style for a girl though.

I love the name Rowan! As for using it on a boy or girl, I think it's flexible enough to go both ways. I'm starting to like the name Rohan for a girl, too. But overall, it's masculine enough to use on a boy. :)God bless,

I don't think it's feminine at all! However, it reminds me way too much of Rowan Atkinson (otherwise known as "Bean") to ever use.Nice, refreshing name for a character, though.______________________________"....A simple I love you means more than money...."- Frank Sinatra

Not at all feminine to me--that's why we have Rowena.I wouldn't use Rowan, but it's fine for someone else's kid. Much more handsome than, say, Ae'Ddonne.Array
