I met the cutest little girls today, named Selena and Vanessa. Both looked to be about 8 or 9. Wdyt?

I like Selena (and Serena) a lot, and am neutral on Vanessa. Both are quite refreshing, though, and make a terrific sib (twin?) set.

I love the name Vanessa. Selena is ok, but has a bit of a whiny sound to it imo. I like the way it looks a lot more than the way it sounds.

Both are pretty names, but I prefer Vanessa myself. They make great sister names.

I really like Selena, but Vanessa has always rubbed me up the wrong way. Much like Larissa & Felicity. I can't really explain why, but I just really don't like them.

I think Selena and Vanessa are both very pretty names. I don't think either one is something I'd use, but they go nicely together. :-)
