Beginning with my favorite:
(1) Brigid, nn Bridie
(2) Bridget, nn Bridie
(3) Brid ("breed")
(4) Britt
(5) Brigitte ("bri-ZHEET" or "bri-GHEE-tuh")
But just about any form of the name pleases me. I used to think of it *only* as an Irish name. Then I discovered its Scandinavian roots. Then I read about some English Renaissance families with Bridgets in the mix. English Bridgets? :-) So now for me it has more associations / interest. I love it.
