I don't care for the repeated o sound of Jonathan Oscar so I'd easy go with Jonathan Gabriel.

Oscar :)I love both names in their own right!I like Jonathan Gabriel but I adore Jonathan Oscar... so Oscar it is. It does beat Gabriel to the finish line. It's utterly dashing. It also flows better. And if I were to be honest, I find Oscar more pleasing in every category. Gabriel is very nice and I like it, but Oscar is one of my favourites ever and I think it really adds something to a name combo. Gabriel has its peers, Oscar is a little different and as trendy as it is, has character. As much as I love Gabriel too, I'm 100% with Oscar here. :)

Gabriel! Jonathan Gabriel sounds nice. Oscar makes me think of the Sesame Street puppet.

Jonathan Gabriel.I think Jonathan is lovely, for the record. I am glad you're doing it right too - Johnathan, Jonathon and Jonothon are awful.

Neither one is standing out particularly. Hm. Maybe Jonathan Oscar, just because Jonathan Gabriel feels quite long. But both are handsome.

Jonathan Oscar. I find Jonathan Gabriel awkward to say, and I love Oscar and think the combo flows well.

Definitely Jonathan Oscar :)

OSCAR! I feel like everyone thinks Gabriel is unique and it's really the safe, boring option these days. (Not to mention Jonathan Gabriel just sounds so religious.) Oscar is still safe, but not boring. It's classy and charming thanks to Wilde. You really can't go wrong with something like that.Use it! Use it!

Tricky without knowing your ln! The rhythm of Jonathan Oscar is preferable (to my ears) to that of Jonathan Gabriel, which is rocking-horsey. And I like the idea of having a more unusual name as the mn - Gabriel is more widely used so it doesn't have the pizazz of Oscar. (I know a Matthew Florian who has always enjoyed his mn.)

It completely depends on the surname. With certain surnames I tried with it I perefered Oscar and for others I prefered Gabriel. They both go well with Jonathan but most names do.Without knowing the surname this what I have to say. Even though I personally prefer Gabriel to Oscar, I'm leaning slightly towards Oscar since Jonathan is so common and popular. In the US Gabriel is pretty popular at the moment but I forget if you are in the US. I'm feeling like you aren't in the US though. Is Jonathan more your choice or your DH's? I know Gabriel is more your choice and Oscar is more your DH's. If Jonathan is more your favorite then maybe go for Oscar and if Jonathan is more your DH's favorite then maybe go for Gabriel. Has the naming of your other children been fairly equal or has one of you slightly dominated so far? Because I personally like the naming process to be as equal as possible, but that's just me.
