I associate it with Catcher in the Rye. The idea of naming after a J.D. Salinger character makes all the anti-hipster hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I can't imagine a more hipster way to name a child.
But to those people who love the name and/or character, and (rightly) don't spend their time obsessing over hipsters, I salute you. I know that hating hipsters obsessively is just as bad (if not worse) than being a hipster. Peace.
