Asher is cool. It's a tad rhymey with Jasper, but that would not stop me from using both if they were ones I liked enough. It doesn't clash with Jasper as a brother, at any rate.
My dislike for Barnaby would fill ten pots, fifteen buckets, sixteen cans, three teacups, and four dishpans. I think it's a good name for a stuffed animal, because I think it sounds stuffy and comical and not very bright. Barnabas is actually worse.
