Adelaide "Addie, Lady"- love this name, my favourite on your list
Ariadne "Aria, Ari, Addie, Nini"- this is a bit of a GP for me. I do think it's a little out there but I'd love someone to be brave enough to use it and I don't think it's out there in an unusable way.
Louisa "Lulu, Lilou"- I really hate Louise and any variants but I can't really tell you why except maybe because of the wheeze sound in the middle. Such a whiny name.
Nicoletta "Colette, Etta, Nico"- Also don't like this because it seems overdone. What was wrong with Nocle, Licola or Colette?
Benjamin "Ben"- BLEH! Fine enough name, but there are so so so many of them!
Cassian "Cass"- I actually like this. This is the first time I've ever heard it and the more I say it over, the more I like it. It does sound like casien and the trendy Kayson, but I'll forgive it.
Gideon- I don't understand the appeal of this name. All I hear is giddy. I knwo a lot of people like it thoguh so maybe ignore me
Nico (boy)- I really like this. It's very 'cool' and preppy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. It's 'in' without being too tired, it's strong without being too macho and there are no obvious teasing factors.
Peregrine "Perri, Perrin, Pen, Pippin, Pip"- ew, no. This is not a name to me. And its not even a nice sounding word.

Thanks for all your responses! I just have 2 questions for you. Why does Nicoletta seem overdone? I've only met one. And what did you mean buy Nocle or Licola? I've never heard of those names.
To answer your question, I love Colette, but it doesn't translate into Greek, where Nicoletta does. I'm Greek (living in the USA), and it being translatable/pronounceable in Greek is really important to me. I'll still use Colette as a nn though.

Oh dear, sorry. Firstly, I was typing too fast and I meant Nicole and Nicola, not Nocle, Licola. And I mean that Nicoletta is overdone in the sense that it seems too much, as it too long, not as in there are too many of them and it has been used too much. Sorry I should have taken more time to type that out so it actually made sense!

I understand. Yes it is frilly and long. I know lots of Nicoles (and all of them are mean) which is why Nicoletta is more appealing to me.
