Katherine ... I also like Catherine and Katharine.
Laurie ... though I'm fine with Lori, too. Lori is more Italian.
Joanie ... actually prefer Joannie for some reason. Nickname only.
Jeannine ... I like the French better.
Jeanne ... Actually feminine. ;) And like some else said, Jean vs Jeanne can be pronounced differently, also affecting it. But I do prefer the actual French feminine form.
