I'm sort of surprised you've gotten negative feedback about Kirstin and Charlotte IRL.
The two I like that few or nobody here does: Amber. I know. It was too popular. It sounds like a bimbo-cheerleader. All you can picture is a girl with 80s hair. I love it. I never would have used it because of its popularity, but, unlike some names that were or are popular, I can see why it was popular.
Spelling variation I like that nobody here did: Somer instead of Summer. I do like Summer, but something about Somer makes me prefer it to Summer. And I, like everyone else, usually dislike creative spellings, and I've ranted about surnames on girls. But something about Somer---it makes me think of a nineteenth century Southern belle who was given a family surname, and I like it. But when I once posted about it, nobody else---literally not one person, as I recall---did.
