Re: Girls' names I don't care for.
I agree with you on...Savannah (a friend recently named his daughter this, and she is VERY cute, which makes me wonder why they chose THIS friggin' name, UGH)
Peyton (I don't hate it, but I don't like it all that much. This is the name of the crazy B from "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle", so it's a crazy B sort of name to me.)
Melissa (it sounds lazy)
Delaney (this is a surname that soccer moms use, thinking it makes them OMG, SO ORIGINAL)
Crystal (my least favorite gem name)
Brooklyn ("We're naming her Brooklyn Marie!" "Have you ever been to Brooklyn, or do you have any special ties to Brooklyn?" "Um, no. We just think it's super cute!" *headdesk*)
Brittany (sounds vapid)
Brinley, Briley, Kinsley, Kylee, etc. (yeah, I buzzed right through these because they are so unmemorable and lame and fluffy. Hate.)
Bella (there are so many of them now, I want to kill this name with fire.)
Alexis (I like Alexa and Alex for a girl, but Alexis sounds like a car)
Avery (I would say I like it for a boy, but it sounds whiny and lame to me on either gender.)
Andrea (never liked it)
Alyssa (it's like a bunch of semi-appealing sounds were just smooshed together)
Ashley/Ashlynn (I don't care for the 'ash' sound in names)
Ariana (sounds like a brat)
Amber (I can tolerate it, but it still sucks)The rest I like, or am not bothered by. I really like Taylor for a girl. Just puttin' that out there. "An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way." -Charles Bukowski
