Re: Three Month/Season questions...
in reply to a message by Joiya
1) Can you use a month or season name if a child is born outside of that particular month or season?
I see no reason why you couldn't.2) Do you find all of the following seasons and months usable names at all?Autumn- Completely usable, and I like it quite a bit. It's also my favorite season.
Spring- Less usable, but it's been done.
Summer- Usable, slightly dated, but still kind of pretty.
Winter- Usable, though I personally just find this name to be alright.January- I think it's usable. There's January Jones the actress, and it can easily be shortened to Jan, which is completely legitimate.
February- I don't think it's usable, but it is a guilty pleasure for me.
March- Sort of usable? It would be a tad unusual though.
April- Completely usable. Dated, though.
May- Usable, and quite pretty. It seems vintage as well, which is nice in my opinion.
June- Usable, another retro name that I quite enjoy.
July- Sort of usable, again like March it would be odd.
August- Usable. Nice name.
September- I think it's unusable.
October- Ditto.
November- Kind of usable. It's hard to imagine a person with this name though.
December- Unusable.3) Would you consider using a month as inspiration for a name, instead of the month?
I.e. Octavia instead of October, or Avril instead of April, or Declan instead of December, etc.
If I wanted to name my child specifically for the month, I'd probably just use the actual name of the month.
