Middle name?
What are your thoughts on the name Phoebe Linda? I love the name Phoebe and would love to use my moms name as a middle name. Thoughts?

Linda is fine as an honoring middle name, but I hate Pheobe. In addition to disliking Phoebe, the two names are too sing-songy together.

I'm sorry to hear that you dislike Phoebe. It seems to be hit or miss for everyone.

Linda is very pretty, but Phoebe just sounds flaky and dim-bulb to me. Fee-bee!

I like a lot of people feel that way due to the Friends character. It's been enough time that children in school will not know the character

I love the meaning. "Bright and beautiful" or "Pure and soft".
I am not a huge fan of either name alone, but together it is striking. It has an old-school charm... but manages to sound young. Phoebe works on all ages, so I like that you gave it the starter position. The fact that it is honoring makes it a great choice. I know it's not as unique or bold a combo as many of us prefer on here, but I do think it was chosen well and the flow/sound works. Plus, it is easy to read and say. You may get the random person mispelling Phoebe, but that is easily adjusted to.
*since you mentioned your mom, I answered as if this were for a real child.

Though I am not a fan of the name Phoebe, I like your combination Phoebe Linda. It flows well and has a pretty sound.

The two names seem to roll into one. The be ending and Linda sounds like Belinda. Maybe you could substitute Linda with Lucinda? Phoebe Lucinda sounds better.

Interesting. I really like the name Lucinda, thank you for the suggestion.
