Finch - reminds me of cartoon villains. I am sure Finch was the last name of said villains, but I still remember that name being bandied about while some hapless animation stumbles around hurting himself instead of accomplishing his "evil" intentions. However, if I think of it as a bird, I am far more inclined to like it - especially on a girl. In fact, on a girl I find it downright adorable. I have a secret love for noun and natury names on children... so I approve, while knowing that it is slightly absurd on a child. Still... we live in an absurd world and one more chubby cheeked child with a noun-name will not end it. (I'd think it brings some needed cheeriness). Melodia - A bit over the top... but with all the Alessandra, Christiana, Ameliana, etc running around, the name fits right in. I love the sound and the meaning and prefer it to tons of other elongated names (Evangelina included). Plus, Dia is one of those amazing nicknames. Camellia - want to love it, but my adoration of Camille, Camilla and Carmella make me grimace at Camellia. I wouldn't hate it on a kid, since it has some flair and decent nickname options - but I would always be thinking of the beauty of Camille and disappointed that it wasn't used.
Sorry for the wordy response, I am in a rambling mood (watched Gilmore Girls yesterday). ______________________________________________
