Hey Eu!... WDYT of these eu-names?
I've been crushing on EU-names lately. My favorite at the moment is Eudora, which DH is totally on board with (go figure!). Eurig ranks pretty highly for me too, today. So, I have listed below some of the more usable (imo) Eu-names in the database for your perusal and contemplation. Feel free to remark or criticize, but please give your opinions on usability:GIRLS:
Eudora
Eumelia
Eulalia / Eulalie
Eudocia / Eudoxia
Eugenia / Eugenie
Eunice
Euphemia
Eurwen
EuthaliaBOYS:
Euandros
Euclid
Eugene
Eurig
Eustace
Eutimio

I love Eudora (but prefer Pandora), Eumelia (nice alternative to popular Amelia), Eudocia, Euphemia, and Euthalia (although I slightly prefer Thaleia). Eutimio is nice from the boys names.

Best title ever.I tend to prefer Eu- names on ladies. Not sure why. Though Euclid would make a pretty cool choice.I like Eudora. It has that lovely -ora sound. Eudora Welty, it seems sweet, old-fashioned and Southern, in the best of ways.Eulalie & Eugenie I have long loved, I think the French endings give them a softness to combat the strong "Eu" sound.

I agree with the French endings. Eudora is my favorite, and I have seen Eudie as a nickname, which compliments it nicely.
Euclid is a street in my town as well as a school, because one of our founders bore the name. I happen to like it a lot. YOO-klid

Welsh eu is pronounced more or less like 'hey' without the h - so EY rig & EYrwen. Hope you still like them! I like Euros a lot too (EY ross), another Welsh boys' name.Of the rest, Eudora, Eugenie/Eugenia, Eugene & Eustace seem the most usable to me, but the others would all be great fun to come across - except maybe Eudoxia, which for some reason sounds like bathroom cleaner. Euphemia is in my family tree, but so far nobody has resurrected it as far as I know. Might make a fun middle name.

I love Eu- names! Eudora is a name I'd use in a red hot minute.I also think about the name Euclid often - something about it is appealing. Is it weird I like it for a girl?? I mean, how many boys are named Euclid any more. And you could call her Liddy. It makes me think of an orchid. But it is powerfully ugly, I get that.Call me crazy, but I think those are all useable. Nobody should ever ask me if I think something is useable because I think nearly everything is.Here are some other Eu names you never asked for! YAYEuboea
Eucleia
Euthenia
Eusebia

I had to click to see if you listed Eulalie, as I love that name. And I think it's usable. I have to say I don't care for any of the others, but I find most of them usable. The ones I don't think are usable are Eurwen, Euclid, Eurig, Eutimio, and Euphranor. No other reason than that I think they are just too weird.
