Re: What could you have been named?
It took my parents a while to come up with a name for me; I went the first two weeks of my life without having a name. My mother wanted Dakota, my dad wanted Ripley. They both hated their top choices, so they compromised with Rachael, which was on my mother's list. If I were a boy, I was going to be Ryan. So, yeah...that's the story. Ripley for a girl? Interesting. I never would have thought of that.

Ripley is pretty cool. Dress it up a little and it's pretty BA on a girl!

It's Sigourney Weaver's character from "Alien". Dad was a big fan.

Ripley's a GP for me because of that movie. "Ellen" just doesn't have the same zing.

You know, I wouldn't have minded being called Ripley. I always say I would rather be Ripley than Bella. :P
